Private In Home Training
Initial Session
This session is typically 1.5 -2 hours and begins with a brief conversation regarding concerns and goals you’ve highlighted on our consultation form. I like to make sure owners understand why and how certain behaviors start so we can have success moving forward.
We cover how dogs communicate in depth and why your dog may be doing certain things that are causing issues. We discuss how to let your dogs know you like what they’re doing (reinforcement), how to get them to do something else (redirecting), how to get them to stop doing something you don’t like (correcting) and how to set your dog up for long term success.
By the end of the session you’ll have an idea of how many additional sessions your dog realistically may need in order to meet your goals. Some dogs benefit greatly from just one session, while others can take several more. On average, my clients usually schedule 3 sessions.
Follow Up Session(s)
These are scheduled on an “as needed” basis and are typically an hour in length. Follow up sessions are tailored to each specific dog. Some follow up sessions have been focused on (but are not limited to): improving communication and cooperation through play, specific leash walking skills, recall (coming when called), place training, and/or improving impulse control. These are only scheduled after an initial session.
Package of 3 sessions
This package includes the 3 in home private training sessions. Please confirm with Jordan before booking. Sessions valid for 6 weeks from purchase date.
6 Session Puppy Program*
This package is limited to specific situations and may only be available at certain times of the year. Please contact Jordan to see if this program is open and if you and your puppy are a good fit. Sessions valid for 12 weeks from purchase date.
Virtual Session
30 minutes - $40
60 minutes - $60
These sessions can help break down bigger training problems or trouble shoot smaller issues you might be having with your dog. Often times owners just need pointed in the right direction. These quicker sessions are easier to schedule and can be great for knowledgable owners that want to roll up their sleeves and get to work right away.
Virtual sessions are also a great resource for trouble shooting topics like potty training or for a “pre-puppy” do’s and don’ts checklist before you bring home your new family member. Your dog does not need to be present, but I do suggest having a pen and paper ready to take notes. I will wait 5-10 minutes in case a client is running late, however the session begins and ends at the agreed time, despite any delays and will not be extended.
Board and Train
3-6 weeks, dependent on individual dog
This may be the perfect option for an owner traveling out of town or a household that is too busy to do the initial training themselves. An in-home, in-person consultation is required prior to registering, free of charge. The owner will meet halfway through the dogs stay for a hands on practice session. Owners then get a “go-home” session at the conclusion of the program where the training is transferred to the human(s). Completion of this program comes with free continued support for up to 6 months. Dogs that go through this program can reliably:
Come when called
Perform obedience commands like sit, stay, and down
Walk nicely on leash
Because a big portion of our program is off-leash, we utilize the e-collar (e-collar technologies). It is included within the price of the program. A $300 non-refundable deposit is required to register for this package. The remainder of the balance is due upon drop off.
